Newport is one of the largest working fishing ports on the West Coast and is commonly referred to as the Dungeness crab capital of the world.
Vanessa reopened the former Gino's Seafood and Deli under the new name OceanBleu at Gino's on July 3, 2010.
Most of the seafood sold in the market and served in the café is caught locally, processed onsite, and officially recognized as sustainable. Live Dungeness crab are held in an indoor seawater tank and are a huge attraction for both kids and adults. Our crab are cooked and prepared for sale daily.
The seafood at Ocean Bleu is the highest quality possible. Most of the fish we offer is sustainably caught by hook-and-line right off the coast by our friends in the local fishing fleet. We take pride in the freshness of our seafood and strive to provide only the best quality for our customers.
The café features a menu of wonderful seafood entrees prepared by our trained professional chefs. It is popular with local residents, visitors to the area and tourists alike. From fish and chips made with the original Gino's famous batter recipe to a great selection of grilled and fried fish, to our clam chowder and seafood pastas, salads, and sandwiches, we serve some of the best seafood on the coast. We also feature an excellent kids menu!
We take great pride in serving our customers the very highest quality seafood possible. Much of our seafood is provided to our customers within a day of being caught, as a way of insuring this high quality standard.
In addition to our café and fish market, we are also available to cater your event. We cater groups of any size and can be available on short notice.
Our facility is frequently inspected by regulatory personnel and consistently receives the highest possible review scores for sanitary conditions.
Whether you join us in the café and have our chefs prepare you an amazing seafood meal, purchase from our wide selection of seafood in the market, have us FedEx seafood to family or friends, or enjoy one of our catered events, you will love the experience and the product.
